Final First Quarter Grades and

Second Quarter Grades

Class Work:
On most days we will have a "DO NOW" problem at the beginning of class. As soon as you arrive in class, copy the problem into your notebook and then begin working on it. All problems done in class should be copied into your notebook.

Homework:
Without a consistent and thorough effort you cannot expect to do well
!
It is expected that you do every assignment and bring it to class.  You must make up all assignments the next day after an absence.  Attempt all problems and check your answers in the back of the book. Use your notes and textbook examples if you are having difficulty. If you are still unable to solve the problem, call a classmate, ask a friend or relative.  If you are still baffled, email  at:  JBarry@yorktown.org .  Show all work and answer all questions if you want full credit.  Always copy down the problem!  Be neat and organized.

All Homework should have the following heading:
Your Name                                                                                          Date: mm/dd/yy
Page and Problem numbers ( For example: P 53 #1-23 odd)

Attendance Policy
I
f you are absent, you are still responsible for the material covered in class. You should get the assignment from another classmate. If you miss a test, you are responsible to make it up the day you return. Cutting a test or quiz will result in a grade of zero. Cutting a class on any day will result in a detention and a loss of 6 points from the Performance grade.

Extra Help:

Extra help is usually available 9th period every day except Friday.  Math is cumulative, so seek help early. Do  not wait until you are totally lost in class. I will always hold an extra help session the day before a test.
