3rd Grade Activity

In our current unit, third graders have been learning about the importance of water to our planet and its inhabitants. Students have been observing and exploring the properties of water in liquid, solid and gaseous states. They have been investigating the components of the water cycle. They have become aware o the importance of water in their lives and the need to protect it. They will be investigating how water can be used to do work.

You can increase your child's understanding and interest in water by asking them about their water investigations. Encourage your child to read about water. Out school library has many good books on this topic. Please take the time to practice the vocabulary list related to our studies.
